Legacy of Golf: Remembering Dotty Holliday and Kim Algren

I would like to recognize two women we lost this year, both served as Women’s Golf Association Presidents. I think we have a lot to thank them for and would like to express my gratitude in this space.  It was my honor to know each of these ladies personally and to experience their dedication to and love of the game of golf.  Through their vision and dedication, Dotty and Kim have contributed significantly to the growth and sustainability of golf for women in Northern California.

Association presidents play a crucial role in the governance and advancement of golf associations, serving as the primary leaders and decision-makers. They are responsible ensuring the association meets its mission of advocating for member interests, providing golf opportunities and overseeing tournament organization.  They work passionately to enhance the overall golfing experience for their members. Their leadership also extends to fostering inclusivity and community engagement, ensuring that golf remains accessible and appealing to a diverse audience. Dotty and Kim you did all of this and more for women golfers in Northern California.

With gratitude.

Caroline
