What's in a name?  A Cairn is a Gaelic term meaning "heap of stones".  I have always been fascinated by these beautiful stone sculptures, both the monuments from times past and those unexpected Cairns found along trails and waterways worldwide.  Cairns in modern times are used as navigational guides and markers for travelers.  So at Cairn Tours, we look forward to guiding you in your next travel adventure.

Caroline began taking groups of friends to play golf in her native Ireland in 2013.  Interest in the outings grew and Cairn Tours was launched in 2019, and it's a family affair.  Dave offers transportation and personalized tour solutions, Mick's work gives us an online presence through his company DigitalDub.ie.    In March 2023 we are headed to the "Land Down Under" as we visit Queensland, Australia.  In September we are away to see team USA take on Team Europe in the Solheim club Match in beautiful Costa Del Sol, Spain! 2024 promises a tour to the "Land of the Midnight Sun" 

Norway in May and to Ireland in September.  A tour to Thailand is in the works for Spring of 2025.  Check out the tours page for more information or to reserve your spot.

The tours are usually 7 nights in length and feature 4 rounds of golf and 3 days of sightseeing/touring.   While most of our travelers are looking for a new golf experience, all enjoy the opportunity to learn and enjoy  the local culture on our touring days.   The blend of golf and sightseeing provides a busy daily schedule, but evenings are free for travelers to relax and unwind at their leisure.  We  use professional drivers and guides for our touring days and play at some fabulous golf courses.  Our groups consist of every level of golfer and the golf rounds are kept casual and friendly, often we have had the opportunity to play a round with members of the local golf club, which has been a wonderful shared experience.

 

These tours are highly personal with small groups and a great blend of local culture and golf experiences.  In addition to our group tours, Cairn Tours also offers you the finest and most complete golf  and vacation transportation in Ireland. We can provide personalized small group tours (2-6 people) tailored to your desires, giving you the option to leave the driving to the professionals and enjoy the scenery and of course the 19th hole!   We can also provide pick up at both Dublin and Shannon Airports with transfer to/from any area Hotel and golf course in Ireland.
